I tell you what, I'm glad I'm in a 100-year-old building and not an Identikit new build after seeing what my friend's (new build) house is like. His floors creak, the plasterboard walls are so shit that his curtain rail keeps falling down...and this is a nice house, in a nice area. Yet still done very much on the cheap. On the other hand, I've got solid concrete walls and floor that my last builder was full of compliments for. 😂

Yes, I think a lot of developers are getting away with flogging poor quality at high prices, poor buyers! Old buildings tend to be good ones. Mind you, even my sixties house is a bit dodgy in places...
